Rented Shermain’s car for a long distance trip and was overall quite disappointed with the experience. Firstly, it makes a really loud sound like you’re in an airplane, so it’s not very nice for driving long distances. This isn’t in the description, otherwise we might have gone for another car. When we had almost arrived, the oil light started coming on and beeping loudly. We were in a remote location and there were no more places nearby to check it, so once we arrived we left the car parked for 4 days. Driving back, it started beeping again so Sherman told us to buy some oil and refill it. The oil level was at zero, which to me doesn’t seem like the car has been checked lately. When we got back on the highway, the motor light started coming on and the car basically stopped driving. We had to pull over to the side of the road in the nighttime. These things can happen, but it was an annoyance and also quite stressful and delayed us a lot. Eventually we tried driving again and it was fine. What I really didn’t appreciate was actually Shermain’s communication. No apologies or empathy for the situation whatsoever. I guess he got irritated because I suggested maybe it’s irresponsible to rent out a car for long distances without checking it, so he told me not to jump to conclusions. It’s just not a nice way to communicate and left a negative feeling overall. Now he’s also claiming some damage for which I know nothing about ! In the interiors especially, since there are no photos from before the rental period, and we didn’t even use the back seat except to put some bags. Anyways, people seem to have a good experience with this car but I wouldn’t rent again.
